DAY TRIP TO ANTIPAROS (FROM PAROS)

If you are looking for a short getaway from Paros, Antiparos is the perfect destination for a day trip. Connected via only a short ferry ride the cute tiny island offers everything that a greek Cycladic island is known for: beautiful small alleys with typical greek houses, delicious food, sandy beaches with crystal clear water, amazing sunsets and chilled coffee spots. We spent only one day in Antiparos but will for sure come back! There are more and more resorts and beautiful airbnbs popping up and I am sure that Antiparos will get more popular within the next few years. Until then make sure to check out the hidden gem before the mass takes over!

Lots of love,
Magda

How to get to Antiparos

It is really easy to get to Antiparos from Paros. You can take a 7min ferry from Pounta with your car or scooter and only pay a small amount of money. Make sure to check the ferry schedule, they do however operate until after midnight.

Getting around Antiparos

We took out scooter which we rented in Paros on the ferry to Antiparos and discovered the tiny island with it. You can however also rent your scooter or car there if you wish, but if you arrive from the airport you need to get to the tiny ferry station anyway. Thus, you are best advised to just rent your vehicle in Paros - just make sure to being allowed to go to Antiparos - should be no problem as it is just often forbidden to take your scooter from e.g. Paros to Naxos but Antiparos was for example for us no problem.

Restaurants, Coffee Spots and Bars

  • Time Marine Beach Bar
We loved the beach bar for the super laid-back vibe, their delicious food (many vegan options) and friendly service. The atmosphere reminded me of Mexico as well as their seating area and interior. There is also live music happening every week, check out their Instagram profile!

  • The Rooster
This newly opened wellness resort is one of the “hotspots” in Antiparos. We went for sunset cocktails and were really happy with the lovely atmosphere, view on the sunset and sea as well as the service. There is also a restaurant but we decided to “just” get drinks as the food was quite price compare to the okayish priced cocktails (12-14€ for a tasty cocktail with snacks). You can of course also stay there and rent a beautiful apartment with private pool and sea view.

  • Blender
Cute little shop for a healthy breakfast, salad or smoothie. You can also take their delicious dishes to go and enjoy it on the beach!

  • Taverna Kyklades
Authentic greek tavern with many vegan and vegetarian dishes (the fava was great!). We were lucky to get a table as the Taverna got fully booked out within only a few minutes after we arrived! Reservation is probably needed :)

  • Little frog
We passed by this cute bar/ restaurant and read that the cocktails are great! However, we didn’t manager to visit it but it’s for sure on our list for next time!

  • Di nonna gelato antiparos
Come here for delicious Italian gelato after dinner - the pistachio ice cream was really good and this is for me at least the gelato quality test ;)
