My fav speciality coffee shops & cafés in Canggu:

  • BGS
One of my favorite places in Canggu to get my caffeine fix. The coffee shop is an institution not only because their coffee is beyond delicious! The place isn’t too big so you might sit next to strangers, but as everybody in Bali is so open anyways that doesn’t matter at all. I even got a T-Shirt (one of the few “souvenirs”) from BGS as I love the place so much haha.
There are also more BGS locations in Uluwatu if you’re in this area of Bali.

  • Torst coffee
This secret spot does not only offer amazing speciality coffee but a unique view over the rice fields! You can either enjoy your coffee outside (they have super cute seating options) or inside (with AC and perfect also to work from). Also their brunch menu includes great vegan options such as vegan wrap and a tasty smoothie bowl.

  • Mimpi grocery
This hidden gem is inviting you to relax in their nice coffee shop for longer. You can enjoy delicious coffee, soak up the sun at their pool or also get some work done. The vibe is really laid back and they also serve delicious food. The only downside I would mention is that the coffee is more on the “expensive” side so around 65k incl. taxes and services for a cappuccino with oat milk.

  • Picco
This cute coffee shop is perfect for a speciality coffee, flat white, matcha and dirty hojicha. They also offer some pastries and it’s a great spot for getting some work done too. I love the ambience and also the lovely team - they just are only open not too long in the afternoon so best to check their opening hours before you go!

  • Baro Bakery
This bakery is for sure a secret insider tip when it comes to amazing bread and speciality coffee - I mean look at this cute bunny barista latte art! I love their amazing pastries and you can also work from the bakery for a bit while enjoying your delicious cappuccino, cacao or mocha. For sure one of my favorite spots in Canggu/ Pererenan!

  • Blacklist Coffee Roasters
If you are looking for the best coffee in Canggu you need to check out blacklist coffee roasters! You can choose between two types of coffee blends (the Canggu one is obviously always my choice) ad try some of their specialities - I still always just go for a regular cappuccino. The airconditioned place is also a great spot to get some work done as their wifi is really fast!

  • Miel Coffee
If you are looking for a place to enjoy super tasty coffee and also get some work done, this is a great place for you! The atmosphere is really clean and minimalistic and you can enjoy their speciality coffee which is made with lots of love. There are many plugs available and the place is also airconditoned making it easier for you to concentrate on your work (or coffee haha).

  • Almond
One of my favorite spots in Canggu is for sure almond. Their coffee is really delicious and you can even get their homemade plant-based almond milk for free as a substitute to regular milk (which is quite rare in Bali, usually places charge around 10-15k on top for plant-based milk). Make sure to also enjoy their delicious breakfast (their pancakes are so fluffy!) if you’re around.

  • Barboa Bali
I only discovered this spot after some months in Bali unfortunately, so that’s why I want to share this place with you so you can enjoy their delicious coffee already from the start! I’m a huge fan of the slight sour taste of arabica coffee, which they serve at Barboa, so I really really like their coffee! Also the place is great to get some work done (they even let me work in their outside area after they closed one day) - so super friendly staff and a great vibe!

  • Flowerboy
After having been here only for the 06:00 run club several times, I was so happy when I finally got to try the amazing coffee at Flowerboy! You literally feel like super far away from the crowd when enjoying your coffee next to the rice fields although the speciality coffee shop in Seseh is only a short ride away from Pererenan/ Canggu.

  • Acme
One of my favorite coffee shops, bakery and go-to bread place is Acme in Pererenan and Canggu (that’s the bigger branch, but I prefer their cute little shop in Pererenan). Their coffee is amazing and I often get my beans from there for home too (also a great gift!). Make sure to also try their pastries such as the vegan bar and their cinnamon bun!
