BEST COFFEE & BRUNCH SPOTS IN UBUD (WORK FRIENDLY)
Are you a speciality coffee lover (like me)? Then Bali is the right island for you. There are so many cute coffee shops roasting their own coffee with incredible interior inviting you to stay for a cup or two. Especially in Ubud, there are many amazing spots to get your caffeine for the day. That’s why I wanted to share my favorite coffee & brunch places, which are also work friendly - so you can bring your laptop or get some reading done. My fav spots are of course also vegan friendly, so offering oat-, coco-, soy-, almond- and/or cashew milk.
When coming to Bali, you might be wondering, why there are so many speciality coffee shops around. That’s why many different coffee variations are produced in Bali including the most expensive coffee in the world: coffee Luwak. However, Balinese farmers also harvest Robusta and/ or Arabica coffee beans.
Of course my recommendations is only a small excerpt of all the places I found in the three weeks staying in Ubud. There are many more amazing speciality coffee shops for you to discover - just wander around the roads and I’m sure you’ll find a wide range of more spots.
Lots of love,
Magda

WYAH Art & Creative Space
Just spotted this cool place while passing by on the bike and was impressed by their interesting architecture! Turns out the coffee shop is one of the trendiest on the island offering a wide selection of innovative coffee variations (guess who still got the cappuccino though haha). There was also traditional live music in the spacious coffee shop and the vibe was really chilled.

Lazy Cats Cafe
This charming coffee shop offers not only delicious speciality coffee but also a wide selection of (vegan) breakfast and food. I came here several times also due to the very good location right at the exit of the ricefields. The interior is packed with vintage decor and they also have a really cool spotify playlist! It’s really a great place to get some work done with a beautiful view!
Location: Jl. Raya Ubud No.11, Ubud
Pukako Panini & Coffee
I can’t even count how many times I’ve been to Pukako during my yoga teacher training in Ubud! The cute little coffee shop was our go-to place when we craved our caffeine fix (so almost daily haha) and was thus packed with not only to-be yoga teachers, but also tourists. So make sure to enjoy this beautiful coffee shop in the middle of the rice fields, you’ll love it!
Location: Jl. Raya Uma Jl. Subak Sok Wayah, Ubud
Avocuts Coffee & Eatery
This new hotspot focuses on everything with fresh avocado, speciality coffee and jamu. We really liked their avo toast and their delicious jamu variations. The team is super lovely and does everything to make the experience the best for you! Also the spot is super quiet as it is located near the market so you will be able to enjoy a lovely brunch.

Zest
This fully vegan restaurant is just a dream come true! Not only is their coffee straight our of heaven, but also their locally sourced food (you have to try the smoothie bowl!) is insanely delicious! There’re also many people/ digital nomads working and reading in Zest while enjoying the beautiful jungle view. The atmosphere is super chilled and staff extremely friendly.

Ubud coffee roastery
This small coffee shop far away from the busy roads is really a secret spot. We went for (obviously) their speciality coffee and amazed by the extremely delicious taste. There is of course also wifi so you can get some work done while enjoying your tasty cup of coffee. Also the price is really low (around 30k including tax) especially for the high quality coffee!
