MY FAVORITE (VEGAN) BRUNCH SPOTS IN CANGGU & PERERENAN
There are so many delicious brunch and breakfast spots in Canggu and Pererenan, Bali - to make it easier for you to choose the best (vegan) breakfast location, I summarized my favorite places to enjoy a tasty (plant-based) brunch in Canngu and Pererenan.
Of course there are many more spots and you could literally try out a new place everyday, especially if you cross the shortcut. As I didn’t spend too much time in the busier area of Berawa but mostly enjoyed the more laid back and a bit calmer vibe in Canggu (especially in the area of Echo Beach) and Pererenan, my recommendations are in these areas.
My favorite (vegan) brunch spots in Canggu/Pererenan are:
Almond
Front cafe
The sloth
Cocomo
I’m vegan babe
Cafe Vida
Secret Spot
Copenhagen
Honey,
Suksma Kitchen
Hula
Boheme
Mimpi Grocery

my favorite (vegan) brunch spots in Canggu & pererenan:
Almond
I love to enjoy a delicious (vegan) breakfast especially after a yoga class at the path next door. The pancakes are not plant-based but so fluffy and insanely delicious! The vegan smoothie bowl can be topped up with extra chia pudding (can recommend!) and is a perfect way to start your day! All prices are net, so include service and tax already!
Location: Jl. Munduk Tengah No.4, Pererenan
Front Cafe
If I have to decide for one brunch spot offering the best pancakes I would go for the lemon ricotta pancakes with berries from the front cafe! There are many other delicious (vegan) brunch options available and the coffee & matcha are not only delicious but also so pretty!
Location: Jl. Pantai Pererenan No.72, Pererenan
The Sloth
I think I visited the fully vegan place the most during my time here in Bali. Especially in the last days before departing I went three times and tried all the different smoothie bowl variations: peanut butter & chocolate, acai and mango - they’re all so tasty, nourishing, refreshing and huge! However, there are many more plant-based breakfast options such as the carrot lax bagel with vegan cream cheeze or the scramble tofu on toast. All prices are net & cheap, you get really a lot for what you pay!
Location: Jl. Pantai Batu Mejan No.90A, Canggu
Cocomo
Wawi and his team will welcome you so warmly in their cozy restaurant. For breakfast I really liked the scrambled tofu with ginger, the avocado toast with braised mushrooms, the smoothie bowls and the green juice. There are also non vegan options available. When you enjoy breakfast at Cocomo you can also benefit from their daily promotion - you’re getting a juice or coffee of your choice for free for every breakfast order! Also the prices are all net - so you pay what you see.

I’m vegan babe
Although the name sounded too much like basic “instagram” to me in the beginning, I was so positively surprised by the cute fully plant-based spot! Come here for their all-you-can-eat vegan pancakes on Sundays and try to eat more than two portions (nobody of us, even the guys managed haha). There is also a daily breakfast deal available for a good price. Also, the interior and vibe is simply so cute and makes you want to stay. I also came for dinner, which was delicious too!
Location: Jl. Tanah Barak No.49, Canggu
Cafe Vida
When one of my closest friends from my exchange in Toronto visited me in Canggu, I took the chance to also discover new spots again. As she really wanted to go somewhere with a “ tropical Bali vibe” we decided to go for a delicious & beautiful smoothie bowl at the organic Cafe Vida. The spot is very inviting as you can have your breakfast in their lush garden and really enjoy let the tranquility of the island.
Location: Jl. Pantai Batu Bolong No.38A, Canggu
Secret Spot
The fully vegan restaurant is one of my favorite spots, especially to work from or chill in the evening. Their Canggu location is open until 11pm and it’s usually quite busy with other digital nomads. Also, it’s a great place to enjoy their plant-based treats, hot chocolate or ice cream. I also came for brunch and enjoyed the chia pudding a lot!
Location: Jl. Tanah Barak No.7, Canggu
Copenhagen
One of the most popular spots for brunch, as their concept allows you to choose three different dishes for only 70k (or five pieces for 100k), so you can decide what you want to eat and can get both a savoury and sweet brunch. I can especially recommend the vegan smoothie bowl, chia pudding, avo smash and cinnamon roll, but also their coffee is really good! As said, the place is really popular so make sure to come early to get a spot! They also have a small store/ bakery which is less busy next to Raya Canggu, where you can get their delicious cinnamon rolls and bread to go or enjoy them there.

Honey,
Another great spot in Pererenan where you can enjoy a delicious breakfast. There’re many options available, a must try is for sure the peach ricotta toast! Also their smoothiebowls have a great consistency and the warm coconut pancakes with berries are delicious! The atmosphere is also super nice and the staff more than friendly - so make sure to check it out!
Location: Jl. Pantai Pererenan No.132, Pererenan
Suksma Kitchen
One of my recent finds and I was even hesitating sharing it as it’s just so so so good, but I don’t to keep this secret to myself and share this amazing which quickly turned into my weekend work/ pool happy place. So far I have tried & loved the creamy vegan laksa, the whipped tofu mushroom toast with hummus, the green goddess salad as well as their speciality coffee - but I’m sure I will try the rest of the menu soon, see you there!
Location: Jl. Raya Tumbakbayuh No.7a, Pererenan
The Hula
The laidback cafe is located in the heart of Pererenan and one of my fav when I’m looking for a different kind of brunch. That’s because they offer an innovative plant-based menu for example Kitchari (indian lentil and rice porridge with lemon zest, coriander, mango chutney & coconut yogurt) or a vegan “tuna” sandwich (out of creamy chickpeas) - I would highly recommend trying them!
Location: Jl. Pantai Pererenan No.64, Pererenan
Boheme
You might think that Boheme is only a hotel, while this hidden gem is offering not only an amazing co-working (more on that in my co-working guide here), a super relaxing pool spot but also a great restaurant for breakfast/ brunch. The lovely team is putting so much effort into the dishes which literally look like art! I also had the pleasure to try their floating brunch (my first time!) which they adapted kindly to my vegan wishes. A super special place which should be high on your list!
Location: Jl. Pantai Pererenan No.159, Pererenan
Wheatfields by Starter Lab
As an Austrian I am sometimes (or rather often haha) craving high quality bread here in Bali. If you’re like me, I would really recommend visiting the family-run bakery Wheatfields, who is making mouthwatering sourdough goodness. You can enjoy their highly creative bread brunch options, delicious smoothies and tasty sweets. Moreover, youcan take the bread also home to enjoy it for breakfast at home.
Location: Jl. Pantai Batu Mejan No.10, Canggu

I’m so happy that the sister location of one of my fav spots in Ubud, Zest, opened up this beautiful restaurant in Pererenan. The amazing interior is super aesthetic and you will find such a great selection of plant-based breakfast options such as the smoothie bowl and pancakes. Also the vegan double chocolate cake is super tasty and looks like art! There is even a stunning tea room availble for in case you want to book a private room for a special occasion!

This little brunch hotspot is the perfect place for your discoveries around Seseh! There are only a few spots inside and outside available, but the lovely team will make sure to accommodate you, the best they can. The brunch menu includes for example coco chia pudding, cheese with sourdough bread and boiled egg, pumpkin halloumi salad or toasts. The coffee is also amazing and I will for sure try their delicious homebaked banana bread next time!
